TMB Day 3: Les Chapieux ๐ซ๐ท - Courmayeur ๐ฎ๐น 25km 1071m elevation gain
Au revoir France ๐ซ๐ท, Buongiorno Italia ๐ฎ๐น !

Had to pack in the rain this morning, didnโt cheat and get the bus and was rewarded with some nice views.
TMB Day 2 ended at Les Chapieux, 20km with 1282m elevation gain.
Ate pizza in bed then (very mild) storms battered the tent for the night.
TMB Day 2 starts from Camping le Pontet heading to Les Chapieux

TMB Day 1: Les Houches - Les Contamines (15km 300m elevation gain)
A slow, soggy start but a good one. Began the day with the fastest 800m ascent Iโve ever done* and ending it at a campsite next to a river.
Starting the Tour du Mont Blanc

Had a great nights sleep at Bellevue camping in Les Houches. โฌ12 for me and my tent and the facilities were more than adequate.
Ready to start the Tour du Mont Blanc.
West Highland Way: Itinerary
The West Highland Way has loads of information available online.
It has its own website with everything you would need to know about it, such as the route, suggested itineraries and even links to accommodation available on the route.
You probably don’t need any other resources.
Why I hiked the West Highland Way
Hiking the West Highland Way was a very personal challenge for me.
Since my first wildcamp I had been a weekend warrior, walking 10km, camping for the night, and then going home again the next day.
Sometimes I went with a friend, one time with two, but mostly my trips were about finding peace and solitude amongst the hills.
I liked it but I knew there was more to it.
